Become A Sponsor

Why your support matters

Gabby Giffords co-founded Friends of Aphasia with her speech therapist when they realized that most insurance policies only cover a few weeks of speech therapy for those experiencing aphasia, which is wholly inadequate.  Your sponsorship is not just a marketing opportunity; it is a direct investment in developing robust programs, community support teams, technology resources, outreach programs, and community education to give real hope to those struggling to speak, understand, read, and write.

Specifically, your contribution will help us:

  • Provide Aphasia Group Sessions – Provide subsidized in-person and virtual group sessions designed to maximize recovery of communication through structured small group sessions that allow members to develop and practice communication techniques in a stimulating, yet accepting, environment. We are committed to providing services to all members regardless of their financial situation.
  • Technical Resources –Tools and technology can play a valuable role in supporting people with aphasia. We aim to provide ipads, tablets, and apps that help our members find creative and alternative ways to communicate and keep our website current. Our goal is to provide the necessary tools to help our members succeed in their communication objectives.
  • Outings – Isolation is one of the dangers for people with Aphasia. We are building a more robust series of free events and outing for members to give them opportunities to socialize outside of a class setting.
  • Training – Staff and volunteers cannot work in a bubble. They need to attend conferences, make connections with aphasia groups throughout the country, and stay current on new trends, resources, and support in order to provide members with the highest quality program(s).

Are you ready to transform the lives of individuals living with Aphasia?
